There’s nothing like the smooth combination of coffee and liquor to take the edge off of a tough day. For some, a cup of coffee will not only provide a bit of a pick-me-up early in the day, it will also ease the rough edges that occur throughout. Combining coffee with a flavored brand of booze may give your hipster girlfriend a much-needed thrill. Here are four coffee cocktails that the two of you can enjoy together.

Jamaican Coffee. This is an outstanding after-dinner drink that may add to the relaxation factor once a meal is finished. Take a standard cup of coffee and add two shots of Tia Maria, one shot of white rum, and mix them thoroughly. Pour the mixture into a rum glass and top with a dollop of whipped cream. Yum!

Coffee with Muscatel. This is often a good drink to have in the hot summer months when you are looking for a cold drink. Combine one cup of coffee with 2 oz. Muscatel wine. Add in two teaspoons of sugar as well as two shakes of cinnamon and a spritz of seltzer water. Mix thoroughly and serve over ice.

Rum Treasure Coffee. This drink is just what you need to warm you up after a cold, rainy day. Start off with 1 shot of Crème de Cacao and add 1 shot of rum. Fill the rest of your glass with coffee, sit by the fire, and enjoy! If you love this drink – and we think you will – summerize it by pouring it over ice.

Black Russian. This is one of the most popular coffee drinks and there’s a great reason for it – it’s delicious! In a large glass, combine 3 shots of vodka with 2 shots of Kahlua. Fill the glass with coffee and make sure you leave room for ice if you want it cold.
