Sex stretches will not just keep you limber in bed, but they can also help improve your overall health. The more flexible and fit you are, the easier everyday tasks become, including sex. Sex stretches work the muscle areas that you are likely to use most while having sex, and they are easy for anyone to do. No matter what your current fitness level, these four sex stretches will help you become more limber, especially in bed!
Stretch those hamstrings. Whether you realize it or not, sex can be quite a workout for your hamstrings. It’s a highly used muscle group in many daily activities. A great hamstring stretch to try involves using a weight bench or something of similar height. Place your heel onto the bench and keep your leg straight. Then, bend forward at the waist slightly. You should feel the stretch in the hamstring of the leg on the bench. Bend forward a little more if you can to really feel the stretch.
Get your arms ready. Many sexual positions require you to use the strength in your arms either to hold up yourself or your partner. That’s why it’s very important to stretch out your arms to keep you limber in bed. Raise your arm straight up over your head and bend your elbow so that your hand is behind your head. Use the opposite hand to push your elbow downward. This is a great sex stretch for your upper arms, which tend to get most of the work during sex.
Try out some squats. Squats are a sex stretch that will help keep your groin area limber and exercises your leg muscles at the same time. Squats are easy to do. Simply stand with your feet shoulder width and bed at the knees. Get your body as close to the ground as you can and then slowly, get back up again. You should feel this stretch in your groin and buttocks mostly. Keep your motions slow and try to do at least ten at a time to keep yourself limber in bed.
Practice Pilates. Pilates is all about core strength. A great stretch for your core involves lying down flat on a mat and lifting your shoulders and legs up off the mat slowly. You should now be balancing on your tailbone. Hold this sex stretch for a few second. Release slowly. Then, stretch your arms and legs away from your body to thoroughly stretch your core. Repeat at least five times. Improving your core is a great way to keep limber in bed and improve sexual performance.
