So last night, the NBA’s All-Star Weekend and New York’s Fashion Week collided inside a Macy’s in Manhattan’s Herald Square. Because that’s when and where Washington Wizards point guard John Wall—a starter for the East squad in Sunday’s All-Star Game—rolled in for a meet-and-greet with fans and shoppers, courtesy of Sean John. (The man who accounts for 40 percent of his team’s points also serves as the face of Sean Jean’s Dream Big campaign.)

We grabbed a couple of minutes with Wall—which gave him the chance to prove he’s not just fast on the court, he’s also got some seriously good “answering questions quickly” skills. Here’s the whole conversation.

(Note: We don’t want to brag, but considering the end-of-the-shot-clock pressure we were under to wrap it up, the fact that we got this much out of him was somewhat of a miracle on 34th Street.)

“Just go with your style. I mean, whatever you feel comfortable in, that’s the most important thing.”

Hey John, how you doing?
What up, what up, what up, what up, what up, what up?

So we’re at this style event for Sean John. What’s your No. 1 style tip for guys for spring?
Just go with your style. I mean, whatever you feel comfortable in, that’s the most important thing. A lot of people go with whatever’s in style at the time. I just try to go with stuff that’s in style and stuff that nobody’s really hearing about. So I like to style my own way, and wear whatever feels comfortable.

How would you sum up your own style in three words?
I can’t do it in three words. But… it’s just me. Whatever I feel comfortable in, no matter if people like it or not, if I feel comfortable in it, and I like how it looks on me, I’m gonna wear it.

You played at Kentucky for a season. Could this year’s undefeated Kentucky team (24-0) beat this year’s hapless New York Knicks?
Nah, it’s an NBA team. Nah, it’s an NBA team. NBA teams are too good.

Which will happen first, all NBA teams wearing sleeves on their jerseys, or all NBA teams wearing short shorts?
I’d say all of them in sleeves. A lot of people like sleeves more. I think the short shorts is kind of going to take some time. I don’t think people like to show ashy knees and stuff.
