The iconic 1964 Aston Martin DB5 driven by Sean Connery in the James Bond movies “Goldfinger” and “Thunderball” is going up for auction late in October at RM Auctions at Sotheby’s, and you can have it for what they project will be in the neighborhood of $5 million.

Max Girardo, managing director of RM Europe, campishly quips, "Like ‘Q,’ we never joke about our work, which is why RM is consistently entrusted with the sale of the world’s most significant collector cars like the real 007 Aston Martin DB5 movie car,"

The vehicle retains many of its original spy gadgets, too. Their functionality is up for debate, but some lucky driver will be able to fiddle with the armrest toggles to control (or pretend to): machine guns, tracking device, removable roof panel, nail spreader, rotating license plate, and smoke screen.

It was originally purchased by an American DJ named Jerry Lee, and has been kept largely hidden until this event. The proceeds from the sale will go to benefit the Jerry Lee Foundation. via CNET
