As just about anybody can attest, one of the biggest features missing from the world of console gaming at the moment is an immersive, publicly accessible social platform designed to efficiently track player statistics in Call of Duty: Black Ops over the course of one’s online gaming career. I mean, what am I supposed to do, keep track of my own statistics? Yeah right, hombre. Tell that to my rapidly shrinking attention span. Actually, don’t. I’m not listening anyway.
Fortunately, Activision has a solution. Introducing Call of Duty: Elite, a massive online community that, when released in November, will provide players with a way to view theirs and other players’ career gaming statistics in a shared environment. It will also serve as a veritable Facebook-for-gamers, offering COD players the ability to form online groups and interact with one another off the battlefield.
