Adele has also been hailed by the British press as "the new Amy Winehouse". Hopefully she wont go off the deep end like Amy did.
Adele is a UK size 14-16, and whereas this is a perfectly healthy weight, she is criticised for not adhering to the skinny regime of other singers and celebrities. Adele states she is not bothered by this, and doesn't plan to lose weight at this time.
Adele won Best New artist at the 2009 awards.
In November 2011, Adele had throat surgery in a hospital in Boston, Mass.
