Alex Breckenridge Life Story

Breckenridge was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She garnered an interest in acting at a young age and did various community theatre projects until the age of 12. Deciding that she wanted to focus on acting full time, Breckenridge moved to Los Angeles at the age of 13. It took a couple of years, but eventually Breckenridge started getting guest spots on shows like Dawson's Creek, Freaks and Geeks, and Opposite Sex. After these initial TV appearances, Breckenridge started getting minor film roles as well. Her first big screen role came in 2002's gutbuster, Big Fat Liar. She also made an uncredited appearance in Orange County. In 2003, Breckenridge starred in a short film called D.E.B.S, which was about Catholic school girlsl who are recruited by the government to be assassins. The role got her noticed, and in 2004 she was offered her own series on UPN: Mystery Girl. The show filmed a pilot, but was not picked up.

In 2005, Breckenridge starred alongside Katherine Heigl in Romy and Michelle: The Beginning]], a prequel to 1997's Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion. With Breckenridge and Heigl in it, the prequel's actresses may be hotter than the original duo. Breckenridge has also done some voice work for Family Guy, doing various female celebrity voices. In 2006 Breckenridge had a major role in the movie She's the Man which co-starred Amanda Bynes, and had a plot that was strikingly similar to 1992's Ladybugs. Upcoming roles for Breckenridge include The Art of Travel and The Bridge to Nowhere which will be released in 2008.
