Life Story
Alexis was born to an Argentinean father and Mexican mother in Houston, Texas. Like so many other actress listed in Chikipedia, she began her career as a model. She went to New York City during breaks from school to book modeling jobs. After one year at NYU, she was cast as the teenage daughter in The Gilmore Girls to Lauren Graham. Her beauty, sweetness, and witty line-delivery made her a star. The show was a hit with girls all over the country, much to the dismay and horror of their collective boyfriends.
Alexis’s film career has been taking off in recent years as well. She was one of the many gorgeous women in the tsunami of hotness that was the film Sin City (Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Devon Aoki, Carla Gugino). It takes some serious chops to stand out in a movie so crowded with sexy ladies, but she was more than up to the challenge. She also starred in the Steel Magnolias of our generation in The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants and its 2008 sequel with Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera and Blake Lively. She’s not wearing stockings and a short skirt in them, but her beauty is the sort that shines in even the chickiest of chick flicks.
