Alison Hammond ( born 5 February 1975 in Birmingham ) is a regular face on ITV1. She's the ever popular roving reporter on This Morning, appearing live in the studio and also roaming the world interviewing A list celebs including Britney Spears, George Clooney, Tom Jones, Will Smith, Samuel L Jackson… the list goes on. She also has a weekly column in Woman magazine called Alison's A-Listers. In November 2008, she won an award for "Most Popular TV Presenter" and the Music, Video and Screen Awards.
Alison cut her media savvy teeth with an impressive eight year stint as founder member of Central Junior Television workshop in Birmingham. It was here that she introduced herself through TV great dramas including Boon, Chalkface, Locksmith, Yes and not forgetting 3 series of the BAFTA awards winning Palace Hill. She will also be remembered for her unforgettable performance on the now legendary third series of Big Brother in 2002.
It was at this stage in her life that BBC3 came along and provided Alison with a springboard to the next phase in her media career - presenting. At the beginning, Alison had some understandable concern about the effect such a move might have on her career. The public instantly adopted her for her infectious personality and witty charm paving the way for a successful crossover into mainstream TV presenting on terrestrial channels.
