Alizee, a French pop singer, is the hottest thing to come from Corsica since Napoleon Bonaparte. She's a better singer than him too.

Alizee Life Story

Alizee was born in Corsica, the land of Napoleon. As a youth, she was a dancer. At the age of three she enrolled in Corsica's finest dance academy, and remained there for ten years. When she was 11, Alizee won a drawing contest for AOM French Airlines, and her design was featured on one of their airliners which was named the Alizee. In 1999 Alizee entered the French TV talent competition Graines de Star, which translates to Seeds to Star... weird. She won the competition which was viewed by French star Mylene Farmer. Farmer, along with producer Laurent Boutonnat, took Alizee and shaped her into a star. In 2000 she released her debut album, Gourmandises which translates to Delicacies in English. It was a hit inside and outside of France, and a new star was born.

In 2003 Alizee released her sophomore effort, Mes Courants Electriques, or My Electric Currents. Though not as successful as her first album, it was still a hit. After the album's release, Alizee went on a tour of France. During this tour, she recorded her next album: Alizee en Concert, or Alizee in Concert. Also in 2003, Alizee married French singer Jeremy Chatelain in Las Vegas. In 2005, she and Chatelain welcomed their first child into the world, a girl named Anny Lee.

In 2007, Alizee released her fourth album, Psychedelices. It marked the first time that an Alizee album wasn't produced by Mylene Farmer. It had a different sound, but was generally well received.

Her fame in non-French speaking world came from her rendering of the Madonna hit "La is La Bonita".
