Amanda Peet Introduction
Amanda Peet is a saucer-eyed American TV and movie actress, who is most recognized for her roles in The Whole Nine Yards movies.
Amanda Peet Life Story
After graduation from Columbia University in 1994, Amanda Peet's career started in indie movies and guest starring roles on TV shows. She met her one-time boyfriend Brian Van Holt (Who played Butchie on John From Cincinatti) on the set of her first movie, 1995's Animal Room (Lori Heuring). After that, she popped up on television shows such as Law and Order (Angie Harmon), Central Park West (Mädchen Amick) and Seinfeld, where she played Shelly in the episode Snowbound. A few forgettable films later, and she landed a role opposite Matthew Perry and Bruce Willis in The Whole Nine Yards and its sequel The Whole Ten Yards. She was nominated for a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for The Whole Nine Yards, and was nominated for a Teen Choice award in 2005 for her role in A Lot Like Love.
She has also played more serious roles in films such as Syriana and on the recently canceled Studio 60 TV show, where she reunited with Perry to play a fictional version of NBC president Jamie Tarses. Her next role is in the intriguingly titled Martian Child, (Sophie Okenedo) which is a family who adopts a young boy. Peet is married to screenwriter David Benioff, and the two have a child named Frances Pen.
