Amy Joanne Robach (born February 6, 1973 in Michigan) is an anchor and correspondent at NBC and formerly at sister network MSNBC. She joined cable network MSNBC in 2003 from WTTG in Washington, D.C.. She spent four years anchoring at MSNBC, including a stint where she anchored two hours in the morning. Later, Robach began as co-host of Weekend Today, with Lester Holt in July 2007. She worked at both places until she was named the Saturday co-host in June 2008 replacing Campbell Brown. Since then, Robach has occasionally served as a substitute host on the weekday version of Today Show and also the NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. She's also filled in for Keith Olbermann on Countdown with Keith Olbermann.
Robach graduated from the University of Georgia with high honors in Broadcast Journalism. She lived half of her childhood in St. Louis, spent nine years in Georgia, and moved on to South Carolina, Washington, D.C., and the New York area. She was a competitive gymnast for 7 years as a child. She lives in Manhattan with her husband Tim and their two daughters.
