Angie Hart was the lead singer of the Australian band Frente! Reknown in her homeland for the infamously catchy 'Accidentally Kelly Street', the band was more famous in the US for the delicate cover of New Order's 'Bizarre Love Triangle' from their debut album 'Marvin: The Album'
After a second album 'Shape', the band split in 1996.
During a tour support for Alanis Morrisette, Hart met and married her guitarist Jesse Tobias (reknowned for being in the Red Hot Chilli Peppers for six months and now as Morrissey's guitarist). Having moved to LA, the couple formed the group Splendid releasing one album 'Have You Got a Name for It' before the label folded.
Having befriended Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator/producer), the band made several appearances on the show with Tobias helping as music producer on the musical episode 'Once More With Feeling).
The couple split in 2005. Hart has since moved back to Australia and released her debut album 'Grounded Bird' in 2007.
