Ashley Tisdale How Ashley Tisdale Got Her Start

Before singing her way through high school, Ashley Tisdale guest starred on a variety of TV shows, including "Beverly Hills 90210," "Boston Public," and "Charmed." She also graced the big screen, along with Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal, in a small role in the movie Donnie Darko (2001). She was billed as "Dorky Girl" in the credits, a phase she apparently grew out of. But her big break came in 2005 when she landed the role of Maddie Fitzpatrick on the Disney Channel’s "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody." Not long after, Ashley landed the role of Sharpay Evans in the phenomenon known as High School Musical.

Yes, there’s definitely life, fame, and fortune for Ashley after High School Musical. In 2007, Tisdale released her debut album, entitled Headstrong, and lent her voice to the animated series Phineas and Ferb. If that’s not enough, she just finished shooting the movie They Came from Upstairs in New Zealand. But you really know you’ve made it when you have a doll made of you. That’s right, she also recently released the Ashley Tisdale doll. In addition, it doesn’t hurt that she’s friends with that other Disney darling, Miley Cyrus. Future plans include a second album.
