Aviva Introduction
While it may seem presumptuous for an aspiring 24-year-old actress to think she can pull off a one word name, remember that Cher won an Oscar, and Madonna was in this awesome movie called Swept Away (2002), so anything is possible. Born with two names on her birth certificate (Aviva Farber) she is best known for her role as Nicola (McLovin's would-be first time) in the comedy Superbad (2007).
Aviva Career
Her acting career began when she made her first commercial for Downy fabric softener at the age of six. It was about that time she started studying at just about every local dance school, including Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Charisma, Moving People Dance Theatre, and Cathy Roe. She graduated from Santa Fe High School in 2001, worked with California's Oakland Ballet briefly, and then set off for Hollywood in 2003.
She appeared in several in little seen films such as Desperate Hippies (2005), Down in the Valley (2005), Forgiving the Franklins (2006), and Rolling (2007) before her breakthrough performance in Superbad (2007). Aviva has also had guest spots on many TV shows including "Malcolm in the Middle," "Cold Case," and "Criminal Minds."
Aviva will have roles in the upcoming movies Spring Break '83 (2008) and Saint John of Las Vegas (2009).
