Bonnie Somerville Life Story

Growing up, Bonnie Somerville wasn't sure if she wanted to be an actress, singer or model. She tried all three, but found the most success in the wonderful world of acting. Before starring on shows such as The O.C., Friends (Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox) and NYPD Blue, Somervilled acted in local theater productions as a young girl. She would eventually attend Boston College and graduate with a degree in Musical Theater.

When she was 17-years-old, Somerville focused her attention on music, singing with several bands in New York City. Though she found modest success, she decided to put music on the back burner to focus on acting. Her musical background came in handy, as her first major acting role was for the ABC mini-series Shake, Rattle and Roll: An American Love Story. She not only acting for the mini-series, but sang as well.

In 2001, she appeared in several episodes of Friends, playing Ross's girlfriend Mona. In 2005, she appeared on The O.C. with Mischa Barton and on NYPD Blue. She also starred in the short-lived sit-com Kitchen Confidential and the even shorter-lived Cashmere Mafia alongside Lucy Liu.
