Catherine McNeil Biography
Originally with aspirations in mind to become a mechanic, this winner of the 2003 model search in Girlfriend Magazine grabbed a chance to pursue the very different path of modeling, flying to New York and getting signed with Next. After getting off to successful start with print and ad campaigns in Sydney, Catherine jumped back to New York fully-grown and ready to tackle the runways.
Catherine rose to greater fame in 2007 with the praise of fashion critics and photographers. Style.com named her one of the season's top 10 models, noting her look that harks back to the beauty of top models in the 90's. Renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino was immediately impressed with McNeil after their first encounter, which was the spark that led her to doing campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana and Hugo Boss.
Catherine has campaigned for such brands as: Chanel, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan, Fendi, Givenchy, Hugo Boss, Jean Paul Gaultier, Valentino, Versace, and Yves Saint Laurent.
