Celeste Cid Biography
Maria Celeste Cid is a young Argentine actress and later movie director. She was born on January 19th of 1984 in San Cristóbal, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Her career as an actress begun when she was 13 years old and decided to ask her mother to take her to a casting for the children's TV series "Chiquititas". Celeste was one of the six chosen among 14,000 children her age. After taking part on the series Verano del '98 (Summer of '98), Celeste was offered a leading role, with Emanuel Ortega in "En Amor Arte".
But the major landmark and turning point in her career was on the 2003 soap opera Resistiré, where she played the role of Julia Malaguer Podesta. That same year she met musician Emmanuel Horvilleur with whom she developed a romantic relationship. A year later her first son, André Horvilleur, was born, but on 2007 the couple split up.
Her first movie, "Motivos para no enamorarse" (2008), on which she acts with Jorge Marrale, has been well-received by critics and the media.
On 2008 she played the lead, along with Alejandro Fiore, on the popular interactive series "Dirigime - La Venganza", aired through the Internet portal Terra Networks Argentina. On this ficcional series, the user sees the episodes from the point of view of the character he has chosen, and on the end of each chapter has to vote on how the story should continue. The series is also aired through Argentine TV and can be followed through cellphone.
