Christa Miller Introduction
Long hailed as the only attractive being on "The Drew Carey Show" and as the tough ex-wife of John McGinley's character on "Scrubs", Christa Miller has won her way into America's heart, or at least Americans who watched "Drew Carey" or "Scrubs".
Christa Miller Life Story
Miller was born in New York City to, no surprise here, a fashion model mother. Miller began to model as a tot, but her young career was put to a halt after it was discovered that she had a benign bone tumor. After a full recovery and her high school graduation, Miller returned to modeling for a short while before giving it up in favor of acting. In 1990 she moved to LA where she immediately landed guest spots on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", "Northern Exposure", and "Party of Five". Miller also accomplished a rare feat in appearing on "Seinfeld" twice, as different characters.
In 1995 Miller was cast on "The Drew Carey Show" where she held the honor of being the only cast member that was good looking. On the show she played the hot friend and later, as the show got more unbelievable, Drew Carey's love interest. In the late 90's Miller had the honor of being the first "Maxim" magazine cover girl. By 2002, "Drew Carey" had ended but Miller was far from finished. Her husband, writer/producer Bill Lawrence, is the brain behind "Scrubs", so naturally a recurring guest role was in store. In the first season of "Scrubs", she had a minor recurring role as Dr. Cox's (John McGinley's character) vicious ex-wife. Eventually, she became a permanent cast member.
In fall 2009 Miller will appear in the new T.V. show Couger Town.
