Christina Ricci

Christina Ricci will forever be remembered as the creepy young girl in the Addams Family movies of the 90’s, but since then she has blossomed into one of the hottest actresses around.

Although born in Santa Monica, CA, Ricci was raised in Montclair, NJ, where at the age of eight she was discovered by a critic who happened to be in attendance at her school’s performance of ‘’The Twelve Days of Christmas’’. She'd dared a fellow school kid to punch her on the nose in order to get a part in the play. By 1990, she had her first big-screen role in Richard Benjamin’s ‘’Mermaids’’ co-starring Cher and Bob Hoskins. Her next movie would be the one that sprung her to fame: ‘’The Addams Family’’, where she played Wednesday Addams. A couple of years later Ricci starred in the sequel, ‘’Addams Family Values.’’

In recent years, Ricci has been in great movies of all kinds of genres. From big time Hollywood movies like ‘’Casper’’ and ‘’Sleepy Hollow’’ to indie flicks like ‘’Buffalo 66’’ ‘’Monster’’ and ‘’The Opposite of Sex’’ for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe. Her latest movie, ‘’Black Snake Moan’’ put her alongside Samuel L. Jackson and, according to Richard Roeper, was a good movie. But acting isn’t all Ricci is about.

Ricci also owns her own production company called Blaspheme Films. She also has done modeling for Louis Vutton and Samsonite. Her recent film roles include the Wachowski Brother’s Speed Racer (2008) and All's Faire in Love (2009). She currently stars in Pan Am, an ABC TV series about flight attendants in the 1960s.
