Claire went to Fearnhill senior school in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, England, and has a brother named Daniel.
Rushbrook is best known for playing Carrie in Carrie and Barry on BBC television. She also guest starred in the episodes The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit in the 2006 series of Doctor Who and had supporting roles in Secrets & Lies (1996) and the Spice Girls' movie Spiceworld (1997). Her Doctor Who guest star status earned her a position in a Doctor Who celebrity edition of The Weakest Link. She also appears in the 2008 BBC comedy drama Mutual Friends.
