Clare discovered theater at six years old, remained heavily involved in theater throughout her life, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Performance from the University of Memphis. Immediately after graduation, Clare began modeling for Elite Model Management in Miami and subsequently modeled in Europe for a short period.

Clare worked on many independent films in Memphis until she was cast a small but pivotal role opposite Joaquin Phoenix in the movie Walk the Line, after which she moved to Los Angeles.

Since then, Clare continues to star in projects including the Emmy winning Showtime original series Masters of Horror: Valerie on the Stairs, alongside actors such as Christopher Lloyd and Tony Todd, and the series Terrorvision, alongside actor Tommy Flanagan. Recently, Clare has done voices on the Emmy winning Robot Chicken & plays the lead role of Megan Graves in comic writer Brian Pulido's independent feature film The Graves, in which she stars opposite actors Jillian Murray, Tony Todd, Bill Moseley & Amanda Wyss. Clare has also worked on two MTV series in recent years; she played the lead in Craig Brewer's $5 Cover, and played herself along side her husband, Seth Green in Warren the Ape.

Recently, Clare produced & starred in the short film Saber (2009) which won two awards at the 2009 Star Wars Fan Film Awards-Best Action & Audience Choice award.

Clare is also one of the girls behind Team Unicorn with Rileah Vanderbilt, Milynn Sarley & Michele Boyd.
