Most people would just give up when they found out they were named after a space ship their mother saw while they were in the womb. Or, at the least, they'd expect to end up in a straightjacket very soon. But not Cosma Shiva Hagen. She plans on being a star!

Cosma Shiva Hagen Life Story

Cosma spent much of her childhood traveling around with her New Wave/punk singer mom, Nina Hagen. Her grandmother is Eva-Maria Hagen, her step-grandfather (what does that mean?) is the East German dissident writer Wolf Biermann. The result: a curvaceous full lip physique, a hatred for school (never finishing high school), and a largely unknown acting career outside of Germany.

She speaks German, English, French and Spanish and has appeared in German and Irish Films, including the blockbusters Das merkwürdige Verhalten geschlechtsreifer Großstädter zur Paarungszeit, 7 Zwerge – Der Wald ist nicht genug, Die Aufschneider and Life is a Buffet.

But even with this vast resume it is undoubtedly her casting in the upcoming Speed Racer, starring Christina Ricci, Emile Hirsch, and Susan Sarandon that will bring her to the international superstar level.
