Danica McKellar

Danica McKellar grew up in front of our eyes on the hit show The Wonder Years, playing Kevin Arnold's neighbor/friend/girlfriend Winnie Cooper. Her first kiss was seen by millions. But just when you thought she was just a one-hit wonder, McKellar shocked everyone by becoming a mathematician, and graduated from UCLA summa cum laude. She helped proved a theorem that dealt with magnetism in two different dimensions. She even wrote her own book, called Math Doesn't Suck: How to Survive Middle-School Math Without Losing Your Mind or Breaking a Nail. Not bad for a former child star.

After graduation, McKellar played Elsie Snuffin on the West Wing for eight episodes in 2002, and can be seen on How I Met Your Mother, playing the character Trudy. In 2005, McKellar let her Winnie Cooper personality free by posing in lingerie for Stuff Magazine. "I'm guessing most people are going to be like, 'Oh, look, it's Winnie Cooper!'" Danica said, "Maybe after [these pictures] come out, people will start giving me grittier roles."

And for those who always hoped Kevin Arnold would end up with the fiesty Becky Slater, you might be surprised to learn that Slater was played by Danica's real life sister, Crystal McKellar. Let those creepy fantasies begin.

Danica McKellar married composer Mike Verta on March 22, 2009 in La Jolla, California; the couple had dated since 2001.
