Debra Stephenson (born 4 June 1972 in Kingston upon Hull) is an English actress and singer.
Her first appearance on television was on Opportunity Knocks, where she won and appeared live at the London Palladium. In 1998 she appeared in Playing the Field, a story about women’s football.
She played the role of Shell Dockley in Bad Girls from 1999. She received two nominations for Best actress at the National Television Awards. She played the role for three years and returned for one last time in 2003.
Debra has played several comic roles, both on television and radio, and has also done some stand-up comedy. She also had a part in the Friday Night Project, by being an interviewer and going undercover.
Debra first appeared as Frankie Baldwin in Coronation Street in 2004. She has had many nominations for best newcomer from various awards and ceremonies.
Stephenson appeared on Celebrity Fame Academy, and has released her debut album In The Sunshine. The album covers all the songs she sung on the hit television show.
