Dimpy Mahajan (née Ganguly) is a succesful model and was a contestant in Gladrags MegaModel Manhunt 2009. She also was runner up in the Sananda Tillotma is a beauty contest held for Eastern region at Kolkata in 2007
Mahajan has acted in many Bangla movies and had done a hot item number in movie Hello Memshab starring Jeet and Priyanka Trivedi. She was one of the contestants on the reality show, Rahul Dulhania Le Jayega, on NDTV and went on to marry Rahul Mahajan on 6 March 2010 live on Indian national television.
A model-cum-actress, Dimpy gave up a lead role in a film to participate in the Swayamvar. Her real name is Soumasri, which means 'as beautiful as the moon.' But her cute dimples have earned her the name, Dimpy.
