Diya’s debut film Kurumbu made every hot blooded male in the audience groan with frustration when it came to an end. They just couldn’t get enough of her. The film in question was a remake from the original in Telugu. Come to think of it, the hero in the film acted pretty much like those guys in the audience. Non-stop panting. Juvenile passion for two hours. But one thing is for sure, Kurumbu gave her the glam doll image. Then she went and did a film opposite the then teen sensation Dhanush in Dreams. Unfortunately the film bombed and she got labeled as a non-starter. That happens when there is no head or tale to the story.
