Drea de Matteo Life Story

Drea was born in Queens, New York. From an early age she was interested in acting and directing, as her mom was a playwrite teacher and her father a furniture manufacturer, which most likely gave her exposure to the boring world of real jobs. After graduating high school, she attended the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts. She originally hoped to be a director, but realized she was really hot, and not a socially awkward ugly person.

Drea's first big role came in The Sopranos, and much like it did for other cast members, it launched her career into movies and television. She landed roles in Swordfish, Deuces Wild, and Assault on Precinct 13. Unfortunately for her, her star began to move laterally, as she took a role on the Friends spin off, Joey in which she played Joey's cartoonishly Italian sister whose crass behavior was always good for no laughs.

Drea has been ranked twice on the Maxim Hot 100. She is currently dating Shooter Jennings, son of country music legend Waylon Jennings.
