The former “Survivor: Australian Outback,” star with the tanned body and angelic face has quickly become known as the woman on "The View" with sound morality and fundamental conservatism. In an age where so much of Hollywood has remained vehemently Liberal, she has chozen to stand up to the peer pressure and stay honest to her view. Incredible how her great looks continued to be so appealing while forging for food and shelter in the outback of Australia.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Life Story

Elisabeth Grace Filarski was born in 1977 in Cranston, Rhode Island. She breezed through her all girls academy and went on to attend Boston College, where she was two time captain of the softball team there. It was at Boston College where she met then star quarterback Tim Hasselbeck.

Elisabeth married Tim during his senior year, probably with the high hopes that he’d have a stunning NFL career. Ironically, she was the one thrust into stardom when she tried out for the reality show “Survivor,” and was cast on the show in 2001. After the show’s end, the image of her tan, sweaty figure, competing in immunity challenges, resonated with television producers everywhere. In 2003 she replaced Lisa Ling as co-host of the ABC daytime talk show, “The View.” Quickly Hasselbeck made a name for herself, aggressively defending her conservative ideals such creationism, the war on terror, and opposing euthanasia and abortion. Mostly, she made a name for herself as “that really annoying chick on the view that’s hot.”

Her time on the view has not always been smooth sailing for her, as she has disagreed with several of her co-hosts, most famously Rosie O’Donnell. This disagreement is rumored to have been the reason for Rosie’s exit from network television. Elisabeth is an incredibly popular television personality. As of October 23, 2007, she took maternity leave. She returned after the show’s Christmas hiatus, as her husband Tim’s Arena Football League salary isn’t enough to support the lifestyle she’s grown accustomed to.
