Elizabeth Mitchell Introduction

Elizabeth Mitchell is an American actress best known for her role as Dr. Juliet Burke, one of the main characters on the show Lost. Capitalizing on that success, Elizabeth was cast as the main (human) character on the remake of V scheduled for launch in fall 2009.

A native Angeleno who grew up in Dallas, Elizabeth spent six years as member of the Dallas Theatre Company and one year with Encore. Her stage credits include productions of As You Like It, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Measure for Measure, Baby and Chicago, among many others.

Relocating back to her hometown, Mitchell snagged key supporting roles in several movies, and recurring parts on television. Prior to Lost, she was noted for a role as Angelina Jolie's lover in Gia, as well as another lesbian part as an ER doctor, Kim Legaspi. She played Dale Earnhardt's wife in the movie 3.

Despite her major role on V, Elizabeth is scheduled to make some appearances on the sixth and final season of Lost. Elizabeth is also starring in a film called "Answers to Nothing" in between filming LOST and V. Because of her unbelievabely busy schedule she is telling her 4 year old kid that Halloween isn't until mid-summer. That's a crazy sense of humor we like.

Elizabeth Mitchell Life Story

Mitchell was born in Los Angeles and her family moved to Dallas, Texas in 1970, where she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, a public magnet school. She is the oldest of three sisters, the others being Kristie, who is seven years younger, and Kate, who is twelve years younger. She was in a movie about Dale Earnhardt.

Elizabeth married actor Chris Soldevilla on June 13, 2004. They have a son, Christopher Joseph (C.J), who was born on September 4, 2005. They live on Bainbridge Island, Washington.

Besides having the only decent rack on Lost, we like her because she showed if off in a nude scene with Angelina Jolie in Gia.
