There’s almost too many things to love about Emily Blunt. Having to choose one would be like having to choose which finger to have cut off, and no one likes a severed finger.

Biography

Emily comes from pretty impressive English stock. Her father is a barrister (what a lawyer is called in Britian) and her mother is a teacher. She had a stammer through her childhood which she overcame once she began acting. It’s kinda sad that she lost it as it might have made her even more adorable.

Her role in My Summer of Love (Nathalie Press), which dealt with two young girls falling in love (easy there, it’s not a Skinemax flick) won her critical accolades and showed she was an actress to watch. She followed that up with her star-making turn in The Devil Wears Prada (Anne Hathaway, Gisele Bündchen). It was almost hard to pay attention to Meryl Streep’s scenery-chewing performance when the cute as a button Blunt (forgive the alliteration) was onscreen. She won a Golden Globe for her performance and an Oscar nomination. She also snagged a supporting role in Dan in Real Life (Juliette Binoche) and made another scene-stealing appearance in Charlie Wilson’s War opposite Tom Hanks and (Julia Roberts). Regarding her personal life, Emily lived for three years with singer Michael Buble, but the couple broke up in late 2008. Blunt did not reveal this until August 2009, when she and John Krasinski of The Office announced they had been dating for months and were now engaged.
