Few things are certain in life: death, taxes, and the eternal hotness of Heather Locklear, the American actress known for her roles in Dallas, Melrose Place, and rock stars' bedrooms.
She burst onto the scene in the early 1980s with her roles on the prime-time soap Dynasty and William Shatner’s TJ Hooker. Her classic beach-babe good looks and ability to deliver terrible dialogue with a straight face made her a star immediately. She pretty much had the cheesy 80s TV game on lock.
Her career was quiet during the beginning of the 90s but sprang back to life after she joined the cast of Melrose Place (Courtney Thorne Smith, Daphne Zuniga). Her character Amanda did alot of backstabbing and sleeping around while wearing shockingly short skirts. She followed that up by joining the cast of Spin City (Carla Gugino). Recently, she appeared in a failed NBC airport drama LAX (Sasha Barrese).
Heather’s love life has been as important to her fame as her actual acting work. She was married to Tommy Lee, drummer for Motley Crue and Pam Anderson’s future husband. They divorced, and she then married Bon Jovi guitar god Richie Sambora. They recently divorced, and he shacked up with her ex-bff (and Spin City co-star Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife) Denise Richards. She seems to be living an episode of Melrose Place minus the presence of Andrew Shue. More recently, she’s been seen canoodling around Hollywood with David Spade, giving hope to short, sarcastic guys the world over.
On September 27th, 2008, Heather got popped on suspicion of driving under the influence in Santa Barbara County, Calif. On January 2, 2009, Locklear pleaded guilty to one charge of reckless driving, a misdemeanor, and in return the district attorney dismissed the DUI charges. Locklear will serve three years' informal probation, was fined $700 and must complete a DMV road and safety class.
She is set to star in the new Melrose Place 2.0, again playing her character Amanda Woodward.
