Helen Richardson

Helen Richardson is an English field hockey international, who was a member of the England and Great Britain women's field hockey team during the late 1990s and 2000s.

Richardson made her international debut for England in 1999 against Japan. Just short of hundred caps for England, the defender has won medals in three EuroHockey Nations Championships (all bronze), two Champions Challenge (gold and bronze) and silver at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester. As well as playing in two World Cups, she was the youngest ever woman to represent Great Britain at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.

Prior to the 2008 Summer Olympics Richardson helped Leicester lift the EH Cup after beating Slough; the second time she has won the trophy. After the Beijing Games she played club hockey in the Netherlands for HC Den Bosch.
