Born in Doylestown, PA Irene Molloy has gone from success on Broadway to making a name for herself in television. While she was a senior in high school, she landed the lead in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "Whistle Down the Wind", which had a limited run in Washington, D.C. Molloy moved to New York City after graduating from high school in 1996, and within a year she was in the Broadway play "The Civil War", for which she was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award, and a musical version of "Romeo and Juliet" playing Juliet. She also earned an Outer Critics Circle Nomination for Outstanding Featured Actress for her role in the play "Whistle Down the Wind". After these successes she moved to Hollywood, and landed the role of Hunter in _"Grosse Pointe"(2000)_ created by "Beverly Hills, 90210" (1990) and _"Sex and The City" (1998)_'s Darren Star. In addition to acting, Molloy has been writing her own songs, in hopes of having an album soon. After "Grosse Pointe" (2000) was canceled, she was picked up by the producers of "Andy Richter Controls the Universe" (2002)_, where she plays Wendy, an office receptionist and fixation of Andy Richter. Sometimes Molloy likes to return to Doylestown to see her father, a computer analyst, her mother, a neo-natal nurse, and her four younger sisters.
