She became a model when she was only thirteen years old when she made it to the finals of the Elite Model Look Contest in Brazil. Three years later she created a huge storm of controversy when she appeared in the Victoria’s Secret lingerie at the age of sixteen. Victoria’s Secret had previously announced they would not sign models younger than 21 years old, so Isabeli’s photos were quite the scandal. But like most things controversial, this incident proved beneficial for Isabeli as it made her famous in the fashion community. Since the scandal she has been signed by Versace, Ralph Lauren and Valentino. She also modeled for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Marie Claire, and Vogue.

She was married to model Alvaro Jacomossi but they divorced in 2004. She then remarried to Henri Castelli but they are now separated. She has two sons, named Zion and Lucas. She is now dating Marcelo Falcão, leader of Brazilian rock band O Rappa.
