BIO
Born in Pomona, California, on April 28, 1981, Jessica Alba and her family moved to Biloxi,
Mississippi, when she was an infant. Three years later, her Air Force father brought
the family back to California, then to Del Rio, Texas, before finally settling in Southern California
when Jessica was nine. In love with the idea of becoming an actress from the age of five, she
was 12 before she took her first acting class. Nine months later, she was signed by an agent. A gifted
young actress, Jessica has already played a variety of roles ranging from
light comedy to gritty drama since beginning her career.
Her feature film debut was in 1993, for Hollywood Pictures' comedy "Camp Nowhere" (1994).
After becoming a hip hop dancer/teacher for "Honey" (2003), Alba shined as
the scientist/superhero, Susan Storm in "Fantastic Four" (2005), and as the stripper Nancy Callahan in
"Sin city" (2005). Then, she showed her skill as a scuba-diver in "Into the blue" (2005). Jessica had a
small role as Liz in the comedy "The ten" (2007), and participated in other comedies that same year,
like "Good luck chuck", and "Bill", but also in the sequel of Fantastic Four: "The rise of the silver
surfer", and in "Awake". In 2008, she learned how to play violin for her protagonic role in "The eye",
and participated along with Mike Myers in "The love guru".

On May 19, 2008, Alba married her boyfriend Cash Warren, who hook up with her after the making
of "Fantastic four", and on June 7, 2008 she gave birth to a baby girl, Honor Marie Warren.
THE ACTRESS
Not just a pretty girl, Jessica studied acting at the Atlantic Theater Company with William H. Macy
and Felicity Huffman, and is one of those rare actresses who has been working consistently ever since
she got her start co-starring with Flipper the Dolphin. The TV show, Dark Angel, is what really brought her
to everyone’s attention, but the show lasted two short seasons. That didn’t stop Alba’s rise to stardom.

In 2006, readers of Askmen voted Alba #1 on 99 Most Desirable Women, while in 2007,
Maxim Magazine placed Alba on the #2 spot of their "Top 100", after Lindsay Lohan (yeah, right).
Both GQ and In Style had Alba on their June covers, and in May, after eight million votes, FHM
(UK and USA editions) named Alba the winner as "2007’s Sexiest Woman in the World". Alba
continues to be regarded as ONE OF THE WORLD'S MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMEN, being
named 2nd on Maxim's Hot 100 in 2008.
In 2009 she came 3rd on FHM's "100 sexiest women of the world" below Megan Fox (2), and Cheryl Cole (1)

Alba fears being typecast as a sex kitten based on the bulk of parts offered to her, commenting,
"Somehow, I don't think this it's happening to Natalie Portman. In the interview, Alba said
she wants to be taken seriously as an actress but believes she needs to do movies that she would
otherwise not be interested in to build her career, stating that eventually she hopes to be more
selective in her film projects. Alba also maintains a strict no-nudity clause in her contract. She was
given the option to appear nude in Sin City by the film's directors, Frank Miller and Robert
Rodriguez, but declined the offer, saying, "I don't do nudity. I just don't. Maybe that makes me a bad
actress. Maybe I won't get hired in some things. But I have too much anxiety". She remarked of a
GQ shoot in which she was scantily clad, "They didn't want me to wear the granny panties, but
I said, 'If I'm gonna be topless I need towear granny panties."
She also recently colored her hair red, making her (if this is possible) even more hot.
