Introduction

Justina Machado has lived in the United States' three greatest cities: Chicago, New York City and Los Angeles. That's approximately 7 1/2 years of sitting in traffic.

Life Story

Justina Machado was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 6, 1972. Her family had recently moved there from Puerto Rico, which is 75 degress warmer than Chicago on average. Justina was very active in drama, always participating in her school plays. One must wonder if one of those plays included the Mamet classic "Sexual Perversion in Chicago". In 1986, she attended Lane Technical College Prep High School ("Lane Tech") and during her spare time performed with the Latino Chicago Theater Company, where she spiced things up with every performance. In 1990, she graduated from Lane Tech and moved to New York City. It wasn't long before she rode her hot looks from the Big Apple all the way to Los Angeles. She was cast as Elsa in "NYPD Blue" and as Val Cho in the movie made for television No One Can Tell. And no one cared, because no one saw it.

On June 10, 2001, Machado auditioned for the TV series "Six Feet Under" and was cast as "Vanessa Diaz". The series entered its fifth and final season in 2005. Still, all anyone remembers from that show is how Dexter was gay with an African American dude. Justina has also appeared in the Canadian television series "1-800-Missing", about people trying to call a phone number that doesn't exist. She has also been in She's So Lovely with John Travolta and Sean Penn, where it was reported Sean Penn cracked a smile once on set. Full Frontal with Julia Roberts, and Final Destination 2 with Ali Larter are other films she has been seen in.

In the fall 2009 television line up Justina stars in the new show Three Rivers
