K.D. Aubert Introduction

A former dancer in the Fanta soft drink ads and a softball player at San Diego State University, K.D. was discovered working behind a make-up counter at Macy’s. She has since gone on to model for a number of companies, including Victoria’s Secret and Frederick’s of Hollywood, and appear in ten films since her 2002 debut. She was ranked in Maxim’s Hot 100 Women in both 2003 and 2004.

K.D. Aubert Life story

K.D. was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and is of Creole descent. She speaks French, and was a self-confessed tomboy growing up. She traded in the hurricane plagued swamps for the fire plagued hills of California when she came to college at San Diego State University. It was there that K.D. was noticed, and her modeling career took off. In addition to Victoria’s Secret and Frederick’s of Hollywood, K.D. has modeled for Noxema, AT&T, Wilson’s Leather, and Escada. She’s also appeared in ads for Bacardi and as one of the “Fantanas” (four attractive girls who can’t seem to stop dancing because they’re so excited by the taste of Fanta soft drinks).

K.D. got her first film break in the 2002 film, The Scorpion King. While that film didn’t win any awards, it was enough to jumpstart K.D.’s career. A plethora of parts came her way, and while each of the films was universally panned by critics and sickening to mass audiences (Friday After Next, Hollywood Homicide), her career continued to climb. K.D. continues her film work, has had cameo appearances on a number of television shows, including Bones, CSI: NY, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and also regularly appears in hip-hop music videos.

This girl, coined the “Black Angelina Jolie,” has much to look forward to in the coming year. She has a movie with Laurence Fishburne lined up, one with Matthew McConaughey, and one with Woody Harrelson and Dennis Farina. She’s also voicing a videogame, Def Jam: Icon.
