What do you get when you cross a Pilot, A Flight Attendant, and A Prince? 'Kate Middleton

This beautiful woman became the most famous girlfriend of English Royalty since Diana. Even though her relationship with Prince William of Wales did not continue (or maybe it did), she didn't step down from the limelight.

Kate was was baptized in the Church of England and is the daughter of businessman Michael Francis Middleton, an airline pilot at the time of her birth, and Carole Elizabeth Middleton, who was a flight attendant. She has a younger sister, Philippa ("Pippa") and a younger brother, James and was raised in Bucklebury, Berkshire, England.
She first met Prince William of Wales in 2001 while attending the University of St Andrews. From around Christmas of 2003 to April 2007, she and Prince William were involved in a relationship that got her picture taken way too much. Although the relationship was reported as ending April 14, 2007 the two have remained "good friends." They say the Prince ended things because he wasn't ready for marriage and wanted to sow his wild oats.

Since the breakup Middleton has failed at a couple of businesses, been accused of taking advantage of her famed relationship by accepting expensive gifts, gone shopping a lot, and has not posed naked for any magazines (but they are working on it).

In November 2010, Kate and prince William announced that they were to be married in 2011. Prince William proposed while the couple were on vacation. He gave Kate his mother, Princess Diana's engagement ring. The new royal couple set a date of April 29th 2011 for their wedding.

On April 29th 2011. Kate and Prince William became the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, in a spectacular wedding, held at Westminster Abbey in London. Before the wedding, Queen Elizabeth insisted that Kate no longer be called Kate, but must now go by her formal name Catherine.

In November 2011, Kate & prince William announced that they were expecting a baby!
