Life Story
Katherine, the youngest of four children, grew up in New Canaan, Connecticut. At the age of nine, she was photographed by an aunt who sent out the pictures to New York modeling agencies. She was soon signed to an agency and worked extensively doing catalogue and magazine ads, followed by the odd national commercial and bit movie roles. Her first leading role was in the 1994 comedy My Father the Hero, in which she wears a thong swimsuit that still earns her compliments and recognition. She followed that film with a turn as Steven Seagal’s daughter in Under Siege 2: Dark Territory which earned her neither compliments nor recognition. Next up was her role as a newlywed fighting off a pair of murderous dolls in Bride of Chucky.
After graduating from high school, Katherine joined the cast of the sci-fi show, Roswell, where she met co-star and former boyfriend Jason Behr. When the show was cancelled in 2002, she took on some less than stellar parts (including a prequel to Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion) before signing on to the Golden Globe winning drama Grey’s Anatomy in 2005. Her role as the hottie underwear model turned surgeon Dr. Stevens earned her the Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series at the 2007 Emmy Awards. That same year, she was featured in Josh Kelley’s music video “Only You.” Sparks flew on set and have been a couple ever since. Their wedding was on December 23, 2007 at Katie’s ranch in Utah.
In 2007, Katherine starred in the wildly successful comedy, Knocked Up, proving that she’s not only hot, but hilarious. With another season of Grey’s Anatomy in progress and a budding film career, there should be plenty of chances to see this knockout shine.
