Kelendria Trene "Kelly" Rowland (born February 11, 1981) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress, who rose to fame as one of the founding members of the successful R&B girl group Destiny's Child, the best-selling female group of all time, according to the World Music Awards and SonyBMG. After a series of commercially successful releases with the group and a worldwide number-one success with rapper Nelly and their Grammy-winning single "Dilemma", Rowland released her debut solo album Simply Deep in 2002.

Kelendria Trene "Kelly" Rowland (born February 11, 1981) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress, who rose to fame as one of the founding members of the successful R&B girl group Destiny's Child, the best-selling female group of all time, according to the World Music Awards and SonyBMG.

After a series of commercially successful releases with the group and a worldwide number-one success with rapper Nelly and their Grammy-winning single "Dilemma", Rowland released her debut solo album Simply Deep in 2002. The album became a commercial success, eventually selling more than 2.5 million copies woldwide, and garnered three more or less successful singles.[2] Rowland's often-delayed second album, Ms. Kelly was released June 25, 2007 in Europe and July 3, 2007 in the United States. So far, the album has spawned the top 5 single "Like This", a collaboration with rapper Eve, as well as the Snoop Dogg-collaboration "Ghetto" and the international single "Work." With the 2008 re-release of Ms. Kelly, Rowland has released a single entitled "Daylight" which features Gym Class Heroes. She found huge success worldwide with her 2009 Grammy Award winning smash "When Love Takes Over" with French DJ David Guetta. Rowland is currently prepping her 3rd studio album, set to be released late 2010 with lead singles "Commander", "Rose Colored Glasses" and "Grown Woman". She is also set to be featured on both Tinie Tempah's and Nelly's upcoming albums.

While maintaining a recording career Rowland has also gained fame for starring in several film and television productions, including a starring role in the 2004 romantic comedy The Seat Filler, a supporting role in the 2003 slasher film Freddy vs. Jason, and several guest appearances on TV series such as The Hughleys and Girlfriends. In 2008, she found herself co hosting "The Fashion Show" along with fashion mogul Isaac Mizrahi. She is also set to guest judge on the hit talent searching show "The X-Factor".
