Kim Richards Biography

Career

By age four-and-a-half Kim, who was born and raised in Mineola, a Nassau County town in the NYC area, had already appeared in 20 TV commercials and from 1970-1971 Richards starred as Prudence Everett in the television series Nanny and the Professor.

Kim was one of the first child stars to sign a long-term contract with Disney and starred in several Disney films, including Escape to Witch Mountain (1975), No Deposit, No Return (1976), Return from Witch Mountain (1978) as well as in 10 episodes of the Disneyland TV series.

In the John Carpenter film Assault on Precinct 13 (1976), Kim played a child who was murdered. She later starred in the short-lived series Hello, Larry and appeared as a guest on numerous episodes of popular American television shows, including "Diff'rent Strokes," "Alice," "Little House on the Prairie," "CHiPs," "Magnum, P.I.," "The Dukes of Hazzard" and "The Rockford Files." And since she was a star in the 1970s, she was legally obligated to guest star on both "The Love Boat" and "Fantasy Island."

For a long time, her last roles were in the films Meatballs 2 (1984), Tuff Turf (1985) and Escape (1990). However, Richards came out of retirement in 2002 to appear in the short mockumentary film The Blair Witch Mountain Project (2002) and later had a part in Black Snake Moan (2006).

Recent work

Kim reprised her role of Tia in Race to Witch Mountain (2009), Disney's reboot of the 1970s classic. She currently stars on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" along with her sister Kyle Richards.

Kim Richards Family, personal life

Kim also has another sister named Kathy, who married a rich hotel heir named Rick Hilton. They went on to have two daughters who are very famous for some unknown reason. Apparently there is some actual talent in that family tree, but it all went to Kim.
