Kirsty Wark is a Scottish television presenter born on 3rd February 1955. She joined the BBC in 1976 straight from university. She moved to television in 1982 as producer on Reporting Scotland. But then there was a breakthrough in her career when in 1990 she became presenter of the arts programme The Late Show until 1993 when she joined the Newsnight team and in 2001 she started to present Newsnight Review.
