Kristi Capel

Kristi grew up in Northern Kentucky graduating High School from Heritage Academy in 2001 and later moved to Missouri on a college volleyball scholarship to Evangel University graduating with a BS in Broadcasting & Public Relations in 2005.

A native of Florence, Kentucky who later moved to Missouri, Capel won the Miss Missouri USA title in a state pageant held in late 2005. It was her first attempt at that title, however she had placed in the top fifteen of the Miss Kentucky USA pageant the previous year.

Kristi interned as a television reporter, co-anchor and weekend weather anchor on ABC affiliate KSPR Springfield 33 News during her senior year of college. Capel also worked as a radio personality at 99 Hit FM and 1340 AM KADI during much of 2006.

As of Jan 1, 2008, Kristi Capel accepted a job as a meteorologist at the WBRE-TV station in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. You can catch her every weekday from 5am-7am and at 11am.
