Introduction

Kristine Johnson is the co-anchor of the 5pm and 11pm News broadcasts on WCBS-TV in New York City. As mentioned above, she is adorable. But her professionalism breaks through her adorability. Then usually the adorability sinks back in by the end of the broadcast, but by that time, they're talking about things like street fairs and adopting kittens, so it's fine.

Eye on Kristine

Kristine was born at the former Clark Air Base in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines to a Filipino mother and an American father.

Before joining WCBS-TV, she worked at NBC News, where she served as anchor for NBC News' "Early Today," alternating anchor for "Weekend Today" and daytime anchor for MSNBC. While at NBC, she interviewed major newsmakers and covered breaking news events such as the killing of Abu Musab Al Zarqawi and the London Terror Bombings.

Previously, Johnson served as weeknight news anchor and field reporter for WPRI/WNAC-TV in Providence, RI where she was responsible for field anchoring from live breaking news events in the Providence market. Johnson is the recipient of two Emmy nominations for her part in producing the series "Brendan's Story" and "Newsmakers." Unfortunately, Barry Manilow somehow managed to rig the Emmy's yet again and steal an undeserved award, while screwing so the real nominees.

Kristine's education was at the University of Nebraska, where she graduated with a bachelor of arts in journalism and minors in political science, history and English. She currently resides in New Jersey with her husband, two children.
