Lesley Sharp

Lesley Sharp is an British actress born in Liverpool on 1st January 1964. One of television's most well-known faces, Lesley can bring sincerity and depth or humour and lightness to any production. A native Northerner but adept at many other accents. Lesley is best known for her roles in the TV shows Afterlife, Bob & Rose, Carrie's War and Clocking Off and in the films like Rita, Sue and Bob Too, Vera Drake and The Full Monty for which she was BAFTA-nominated. Her most recent television appearances were in Doctor Who and The Children. She also recently played the lead character in Harper Regan at The National Theatre. She graduated from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1982 and her parents were Scottish. She grew up in Formby, a suburb in Liverpool and has an older sister.
