Malin Akerman Life Story

Malin Åkerman was born in Stockholm Sweden on May 12, 1978, with a weird circle above the 'A' in her last name. Her family moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada when she was two years old where people are more accepting of weird symbols above letters in your surname. At the age of seventeen she won the Ford Supermodel of Canada search. After a career in modeling she turned to acting and now resides in California.

She has had roles in several films including The Utopian Society and the period epic Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. She has made several TV guest appearances and in 2005 got the role as Juna in the HBO series "The Comeback", which thanks to smart executives, will not be coming back. She has also appeared on "The Showbiz Show with David Spade" as a correspondent and in the third season of HBO series "Entourage" in the role of Tori, a woman who's storyline involves a threesome with Eric ("E") and Sloan played by Emmanuelle Chriqui. Malin is also lead singer of the rock band 'The Petalstones' (formerly known as 'Ozono'), and, true to tragic form, she married the guitarist, Roberto Zincone in 2007. Recently, she is one of the lead actors in the Farrelly Brothers movie The Heartbreak Kid (2007), and plays the part of Laurie Juspeczyk (Silk Spectre II) in the film adaptation of Watchmen (2009).

Malin made the Maxim 2012 Hot 100 List, coming in at number 9.
