Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is a name associated with a lot of things in American culture and beyond. Miley is defiantly a girl of many talents and has been since a young age. Probably most famous for her role on Disney's Family Channel show, Hannah Montana, Miley moved onto many other career path. Some would argue too may things happening for a girl who is so young.

Born and raised as the daughter of country music artist Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, her parents originally named her Destiny Hope, because the felt she would do great things with her life (and boy were they right). Miley grew up around the music scene, because of her father's job and apparently learned a lot.

Throughout Miley's life many things have happened. She first appeared in Hannah Montana at the age of 11, which became an instant hit with young fans. When Miley was not playing Hannah Montana she was recording songs under her Miley Cyrus name.

Miley reached number 1 on the Billboard charts under both names, and continued to climb the ladder of success, but she did not stop there.

After four seasons of Hannah Montana, Miley made the decision to stop playing Hannah Montana and focus on her career as Miley Cyrus and a movie career which found her starring in the 2010 release The Last Song.

Miley is not stranger to controversy. In 2007 pictures of Miley from here private MySpace account of her and two female friends sharing a piece of licorice were spread all around the world, with rumours that Miley was bisexual, or lesbian. That was not Miley's only run in with photos being spread around the internet and beyond, and we're pretty sure it won't be the last.

Miley's 2009 performance of her hit song Party in the USA at The Teen Choice Awards, cause a huge media frenzy and upset of parents around the world. Apparently Miley's choice of wardrobe was not considered appropriate for her audience. But hey if you've got it flaunt it right?

When Miley turned 18 in November of 2010, she caused yet another uproar. At the club where she celebrated, Mley was caught on tape giving the producer of The Last Song, a lap dance. Her Dad defended her saying "it's what kids her age do". (yeah ok). In December of 2010 a video of Miley giggling wildly and smoking a bong was released to the media for the world to see. It is said that it was the legal hallucinogen salvia being smoked in the bong, either way doesn't make her much of a role model.

In March 2012, Miley was seen with her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth sportng a huge ring. Rumors started flying if the two were engaged or not. The couple confirmed the engagement in June 2012.

In 2012, Miley made the Maxim Hot 100 List, coming in at number 68.
