Miranda Cosgrove is known best as her role of "Carly" in the teenage sitcom "iCarly," or as "Megan" on "Drake and Josh." The fifteen year old actress stars alongside fellow-chick Jennette McCurdy. Also starring is Nathan Kress and Jerry Trainor.

The young starlet will turn sixteen on May 16, 2009. She is five feet, four inches of pure talent. She was born in Los Angeles, California.

She first starred in a few commericals after being discovered by an agent at a young age. She quickly moved on to better and greater things, and landed a role in "School of Rock," beating thousands of other kids her age.

A while later, she found out the pilot episode for "Drake and Josh" had been picked up. She worked on the well-loved TV series (voted Best Show at Kid's Choice Awards one time) for many years until it stopped production in '08.

She was immediately grabbed by a new TV series, "iCarly." After one season, and half-way through the second, "iCarly" has been voted for "Best Show" at the KCAs and beat Disney Channel's leading show, "Hannah Montana." Most say that "iCarly" is the best show Nickelodeon has ever produced. All of this fame is due to Cosgrove's wonderful acting.

In 2007, Cosgrove released her first single, "Leave It All To Me" featuring Drake Bell (who was in fact her co-star in "Drake and Josh"). The song became the theme for "iCarly." In the middle of '08, she released three singles, "Stay My Baby," "About You Now," and "Headphones On."

Christmas season of '08 resulted in another single release, "Christmas Wrapping."

Currently, the rising star is filming "iCarly" episodes with gusto and happiness. Looks like "iCarly" won't be canceled anytime soon! In fact, the newest episode will air on April 11.
