Mischa Barton Introduction
You probably know Mischa Barton best for her three seasons as Marissa Cooper on Fox's series, The O.C. (Rachel Bilson), but you may also remember her role as the dead tent girl in The Sixth Sense. Mischa got her start in show business early with a role in NY Theater productions at age nine. She went on to make a few films and had a brief stint on the soap opera, "All My Children" (Kelly Ripa).
Mischa Barton Life Story
Mischa was cast in The O.C. in 2003 and her career took off. Her face was everywhere and not just on Fox. She begins modeling for a Calvin Klein jeans ad and signs a 2 year deal as the new face of Neutrogena. Mischa continued to model for the next 2 years while filming the show and signed on as the spokesperson for Keds in 2005. Mischa also got a lot of attention when her character on the O.C. dates and kisses another girl.
She dated oil heir Brandon Davis, whose family was the inspiration for the 1980's primetime soap opera, Dynasty. Barton also dated Whitestarr singer Cisco Adler. The couple broke up after 2 years when nude pictures of Adler surfaced on the internet. The photos were found when some of the contents of Paris Hilton's storage locker and posted on the web for all to see. This was all too much for Mischa who ended things in February 2007.
Mischa has 7 films to be released in the next two years including a 1943-set drama, Closing the Ring, starring Shirley MacLaine and Christopher Plummer. She will also be playing a lesbian in the upcoming film You and I (2009) with Shantel Vansanten about two teenage girls who fall in love after meeting at a t.a.T.u. concert.
On July 16th, 2009 Mischa Barton was admited to Cedar Sinai Hospital and was held under a 5150 hold. In the Fall of 2009, Mischa began starring on the new CW series "The Beautiful Life." But the show was cancelled after only 2 episodes.
